Andrew is a registered Medical Practitioner with wide ranging emergency and general medical experience.  His passion for working in remote environments began in 1996 when he took two voluntary positions.  He worked initially as a doctor at the Tibetan Refugee Hospital in Dharamsala, India and then for the Himalayan Rescue Association in Manang, Nepal. Since that time Andrew been fortunate to combine his climbing, trekking, mountaineering and other outdoor adventure passions with work as an Expedition Medical Officer on numerous occasions. He is now a director of Expedition and Wilderness Medicine and consults for organizations requiring advice about preparing for and managing medical problems in austere and challenging environments.
