The price is calculated based on your chosen configuration: vCPU, RAM, and storage. The higher the configuration, the higher the price.

For example, if you choose a Basic VM instance with 1vCPU, 1GB RAM, and 25GB SSD, you’ll pay €3.2 per month. If you choose 1vCPU, 2GB RAM, and 25GB SSD, you’ll pay €5 per month.

A Basic VM instance is a VPS (virtual private server) that allocates a portion of a physical server’s resources to a user. A dedicated server dedicates all of its physical resources to a single user. As a result, there are two main advantages of Basic VM over dedicated servers:

  • Lower cost. VPSs are generally less expensive than dedicated servers because you share resources with other users. Basic VM is a great budget option.
  • Simplified management. With Basic VM, you don’t need to worry about managing hardware and checking the health of your CPU, memory, and storage like with dedicated servers. Your provider handles all that, leaving you free to focus on more important tasks related to your project and business goals.
