# Plan activation

Plan activation is the first step in the DDoS Protection [onboarding service](/ddos-protection/onboarding-service/service-activation), which provides [Advanced protection](/ddos-protection/about-ddos-protection) for entire networks via GRE tunneling. All plans include a 7-day free trial.

## Available plans

Choose a plan based on required clean traffic volume and the number of network prefixes to protect. See the [pricing page](https://gcore.com/pricing/security) for current rates.

## Activation steps

To request a plan, submit the form in the Gcore Customer Portal. The Gcore team will review the request, confirm a plan, and activate the service.

1. Log in to the [Gcore Customer Portal](https://portal.gcore.com) and navigate to **DDoS Protection**.

2. In the request form, enter a contact phone number and describe the protection requirements, including the preferred plan tier.

3. Click **Send request**.

The Gcore team will contact you to confirm the plan. The 7-day free trial begins immediately after the team activates the service.

Once the plan is active, continue with [network submission](/ddos-protection/onboarding-service/network-submission) to add the networks that need protection.
