Set up and manage your camera and microphone

Video calls work directly in a browser,  third-party extensions and apps installation isn't required.

When you first launch the Real-Time Video, a browser requests access to the camera and microphone. The use of video and audio on our site is allowed or prohibited based on your response.

Please, note: For correct work of Real-Time Video, allow the browser to use the camera and microphone on our site.

If you don't want other participants to see or hear you, you can manage the camera and microphone both before and during the call, see more below.

How to allow camera and microphone usage when you first launch Real-Time Video?

After you first visit the Real-Time Video conference or webinar creating page, a dialog box will appear asking you to allow using the camera, click the Allow / Allowed button:

Please, note! If you accidentally clicked Don't Allow, the camera and microphone will be disabled. To enable the camera and microphone, follow the instructions in the article.

How to manage the camera and microphone in Real-Time Video?

You can manage the camera and microphone using the buttons with camera and microphone signs.

When creating a call

If the camera and microphone buttons are orange, they are turned off. Other call participants can't hear or see you.

If the camera and microphone buttons are green, they are turned on. Other call participants can see and hear you.

When the camera and microphone are turned on, it is possible to select the required video and sound sources.

To select a video source, click on the arrow to expand the list of available cameras:

To select a sound source, click on the arrow to expand the list of available microphones:

In the video call room

If the camera and microphone buttons are blue, they are turned off. Other call participants can't hear you or see you.

If the camera and microphone buttons are green, they are turned on. Other call participants can see and hear you.

In the mobile version of Real-Time Video, you can change the camera during a call. The camera change button is located to the right of the camera button.

If the camera change button is green, the main camera is on.

If the camera change button is blue, the front camera is on.
