How to set up automatic issuing of SSL certificates

By popular demand of our customers, we have implemented the ability to automatically issue and renew SSL certificates.
Why you need an SSL certificate
To protect the personal information of customers, websites and web applications encrypt transmitted data using an SSL certificate.
The content that you distribute via a CDN may not contain user information, but it is worth the protection so that a user does not receive a mixed content error as a browser response.
How to get an SSL certificate
If you do not have your own SSL certificate for your domains and subdomains, you can get a free Let’s Encrypt certificate via the control panel.
You can get a certificate for any resource.
1. Create a CDN resource with a personal domain and add a CNAME record to the domain’s DNS settings.
2. Enable HTTPS support in the resource settings and click “Add SSL certificate”.
3. By default, the “Get free Let’s Encrypt certificate” option is selected. Click “Get SSL certificate”.
As long as the resource is active, the certificate will be updated automatically.
What you shouldn’t do when you issue a certificate
Getting a certificate can take up to 30 minutes.
During this time, do not disable HTTPS support, select another certificate, or interrupt the issue of the current one. You can change any other resource settings.
If an error occurs during the issue of a certificate, the “Enable HTTPS” option will be disabled and a notification will be sent to your email.
How to revoke a certificate
To revoke a certificate, go to the resource’s settings and click “Revoke Let’s Encrypt certificate” in the “Enable HTTPS” section.
Features and limitations
1. A certificate cannot be issued for a wildcard domain.
2. You can only get one Let’s Encrypt certificate for one resource at a time.
3. A certificate cannot be issued immediately when the resource is created. This can only be done when editing the resource.
4. If you want to add a second personal domain for the resource, we will reissue a certificate after the changes are saved. You will see a warning that the current certificate will be valid for 30 minutes. After 10 minutes, the certificate will be changed automatically.
5. The issued Let’s Encrypt certificates are not displayed on the “SSL certificates” tab. After a certificate is issued, you will see it only in the settings of the resource for which it is issued.
