Gcore CDN Updates for October 2024

Welcome to the latest Gcore CDN updates, where we bring you the most recent enhancements and features designed to make managing your CDN easier and more efficient. In October, we’re introducing Terraform integration, logs uploader, and cache key modification—all designed to make CDN management efficient and intuitive.

Terraform Integration for Seamless Infrastructure Management

We’re excited to announce the integration of Terraform with our CDN services, allowing you to manage your CDN infrastructure programmatically. With our Terraform provider, you can now implement CDN resource configuration versioning, making it easy to keep track of changes. You can also seamlessly replicate configurations across staging and production environments for consistent and efficient testing.

Here’s what this means for you:

  • Easier resource management: Automatically track and version changes to your CDN infrastructure.
  • Simplified testing: Quickly replicate configurations between environments to streamline testing and deployments.

Explore our Terraform product documentation to learn how to implement it for your CDN setup.

Introducing Logs Uploader for Customizable Log Exports

Our new and enhanced Logs uploader feature lets you export raw access logs from our CDN nodes to your endpoints, such as S3 buckets. You can now choose the latency for receiving log archives, with options ranging from 5–60 minutes. This update also introduces more flexibility with customizable formats and protocols, allowing you to tailor log exports to your specific needs.

You’ll experience the following benefits:

  • Faster log access: Get logs delivered in near real-time, with customizable latency between 5 and 60 minutes.
  • Greater flexibility: Choose the log format and fields you want, with support for more protocols coming soon.

Optimize Your Caching with Cache Key Modification

Introducing our new cache key modification feature, enabling you to customize how your CDN caches resources by adding and combining variables. This flexibility means you can now optimize the cache key for your specific use case for superior control, helping you achieve the best possible cache hit ratio and improving overall performance.

Continually Improving Gcore CDN

With these updates, you gain more control over your CDN infrastructure, better visibility into your logs, and the ability to customize caching for improved performance. Here’s how this month’s updates benefit you.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue enhancing our Edge Network offerings.
