BYOIP allows customers to use their own public IP address ranges with Gcore infrastructure. This capability helps preserve IP reputation, maintain existing allowlists, and support consistent network addressing during workload migrations to Gcore.

Benefits

BYOIP helps you:
  • Retain ownership of your public IP ranges
  • Preserve IP reputation and existing allowlists
  • Avoid reconfiguring systems that depend on specific IP addresses
  • Migrate workloads to Gcore while maintaining network identity

Requirements

To onboard your IP range, prepare the following:
  • A Letter of Authorization (LOA) permitting Gcore to announce your IP prefix
  • A Route Object (IRR) registered with the appropriate Regional Internet Registry (RIR)
  • A valid RPKI ROA authorizing route announcements
  • The CIDR prefix of the IP range you want to use
Your organization must own the IP prefix and have it registered with a Regional Internet Registry.

ASN options

You can announce your IP prefixes using either:
  • Gcore ASN – Gcore announces your prefixes on your behalf
  • Your own ASN (BYOASN) – You retain control over route announcements
Using your own ASN may be beneficial for maintaining routing reputation and greater control over traffic policies.
