How we have improved CDN performance in Scandinavia and the Baltics

We’ve launched CDN node in Stockholm in April 2017. It is a strategically important point of the net, as we use it to distribute content to Scandinavia and the Baltics.

Thus we’ve managed to improve response time to 23 ms.

This year, we were able to improve performance in Sweden by optimizing response time from 23 ms down to 18 ms.

Performance statistics for Denmark, Finland and Norway

The Scandinavian countries have the highest Internet penetration rates in the world: Norway—98.0 %, Denmark—96.3 %, Sweden—93.1 %, Finland—92.5 % (according to Internet Live Stats for the year 2016).

The population of Scandinavia is more than 25 million people. Moreover, each state in the region is among top ten countries with the highest quality of life. This is a big financial market for producers of entertainment content and online business representatives. Therefore, even a small improvement in performance in such regions is always a priority.

We’re good in the Baltics, too

Thanks to the point in Stockholm, we deliver content to the Baltic states quickly and confidently.
