Start global, pay as you grow: introducing Gcore’s new CDN PAYG plan

Most products do not launch with predictable traffic. They begin with an idea, a first release, and users who could be anywhere.

Until now, starting small with Gcore meant starting with limited network coverage. Reaching 210+ PoPs meant choosing a Start or Pro plan, often before a business knew how much traffic it would attract or what infrastructure it would actually need.

That left developers with a difficult choice: start with limited coverage, or commit to a larger plan before real demand justified it. We don't believe access to global infrastructure should depend on how large your business already is. It should be available from the start.

That's why Gcore is replacing Free, Start, and Pro with one pay-as-you-go (PAYG) CDN plan. Every self-service customer can now start on 210+ PoPs, receive the first 1 TB of traffic free every month, and stay on the same plan as traffic grows.

No subscription required to start

Getting started is simple. All you need is a Gcore account. There's no subscription fee and no credit card is required. PAYG gives you access to 210+ Gcore Points of Presence (PoPs), with the first 1 TB of CDN traffic free every month.

Growth should lower your price, not force another plan

Traffic rarely grows in predictable steps. A successful launch, a new market, or an unexpected surge should not force you to switch plans just to get a lower price.
Under the former plans, additional traffic cost €0.03/GB on Free, €0.023/GB on Start, and €0.02/GB on Pro. With PAYG, paid traffic starts at €0.01/GB, 66% below the former Free-plan overage rate. The rate falls further as usage grows, reaching €0.005/GB above 2 PB, around 83% below the former Free rate.

The monthly pricing tiers are:

PAYG uses progressive pricing. Traffic is divided across the applicable usage tiers, and each portion is charged at the rate for that tier. Moving into the next tier lowers the price of additional traffic within that tier. It does not change the price of traffic already used.
As demand grows, the same plan stays in place while the rate adjusts to actual usage.

PAYG is available now

PAYG is already the default CDN plan for new self-service customers.
Existing Free, Start, and Pro customers can switch to PAYG themselves now. They will not be moved automatically during the initial rollout. Enterprise remains available for organizations that need custom traffic volumes, infrastructure, support, or commercial terms.
Your business does not need to be large to start global. It also doesn’t need to predict tomorrow's traffic to benefit from today's infrastructure.
