How to know how many viewers watched the broadcast

In late May, we already covered how CDN and Media Platform by Gcore statistics has changed.
We announced the new statistics for Media Platform by Gcore, which was eagerly awaited by our clients and partners in broadcasting. Now it is available for all Media Platform users.
Statistics by views
Summary charts in VOD and Live tabs display the number of downloads and unique views, as well as the number of users that started video playback.
- Downloads and views charts
What we classify as ‘downloads’ and ‘views’
Downloads. The number of times users opened a page with the player.
Starts. The number of times users clicked on the Play button.
Views. The number of users who watched a video or a broadcast for at least 5 seconds.
Unique views. The number of views defined by several criteria: user IP address, screen size, browser, cookies.
How to view statistics for a single broadcast
Statistics for single broadcasts is also available in the Broadcasts section.
Viewer geography
The country is identified by the viewer’s IP. Data is displayed as a map or a table. The number of views includes users who watched a video or a broadcast for at least 5 seconds after starting the playback.
- Geostatistics
Browsers and operating systems
Browsers and operating systems with which videos or live broadcasts were requested. The percentage is calculated from the total number of views for a selected time period.

Sources of requests
These are web page addresses (URLs) from which videos or broadcasts were requested.
How to try the new statistics
All statistics for live streams and videos on demand is available in the Media Platform tab immediately after registration.
Simply sign up for Media Platform by Gcore, broadcast to the whole world, analyze the audience and make profit.
