New Gcore Edge Cloud Is Now Available in Tashkent

We’re delighted to inform you of the availability of a new Gcore Edge Cloud region in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. This strategic expansion is designed to provide our customers in Central Asia with high-performance, low-latency cloud services and enhanced data sovereignty. The new region is already available via the Gcore Customer Portal. Read on to discover the specific services available at the new location and their key features.

Gcore Edge Cloud Services and Features Available in Tashkent

The range of Gcore Edge Cloud services and features in Tashkent includes eight cutting-edge solutions.

Virtual Instances

Gcore Virtual Instances are based on Intel® Xeon® 2nd Generation Scalable Processors and designed for a variety of computing workloads, including general purpose, compute-intensive workloads, and ultra-high memory workloads.

We plan to add availability in Tashkent for Gcore Basic VM: budget-friendly shared virtual machines with partial core usage. Basic VM is designed for simple tasks not requiring an SLA, like light web servers and microservices.

Our Virtual Instances include storage options. Standard SSD storage is known for its reliability and efficiency. It performs well for applications that don’t require high IOPS (input/output operations per second) and low latency, such as web servers and non-production workloads. A high-IOPS storage option will be added soon in Tashkent.

Bare Metal

Gcore Bare Metal servers are equipped with Intel® Xeon® E-2288G processors. They’re an excellent choice for hosting applications that require high CPU frequency, including gaming and high-frequency trading.

File Shares

Gcore File Shares offers a reliable and scalable file storage solution for use cases including backups, cloud infrastructure storage, and persistent volumes for Kubernetes.
